Calibration/Metrology Technician

Seeking candidates for the full-time position of calibration technician to calibrate, troubleshoot and repair many types of laboratory, test and measurement equipment/instruments covering several disciplines, including volumetric dispensing (e.g., pipettes, burettes, and dispensers), temperature/humidity (e.g., glass and electronic thermometers, hygrometers, etc.), and mass (e.g., calibration weights).
Work will be primarily performed at our facility in Lancaster. However, occasional travel to customer sites may be necessary.
Performance Requirements:

Minimum of associate degree, scientific- or PMEL-related experience

Valid driver’s license

Ability to safely lift and move heavy items

Strong math and computer skills
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong mechanical and electronic aptitude is helpful

Attention to detail
-
Work well independently with minimal supervision and with fellow team members
-
Ability to interface with customers and maintain a high level of customer service

Ability to analyze and interpret data
-
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while assuring compliance with quality system

Knowledge of ISO 17025 is helpful
